Author Biography

Contact the author, Carolyn Siccama

For several years, author Carolyn Siccama lived adjacent to one of the most popular rail-trails in the United States, the Minuteman Bikeway in Massachusetts. Now she lives nearby the beautiful Burlington, Vermont Waterfront Bike Path. She was inspired to write this book after spending so much time on the rail trail with her young daughter. Carolyn and her family enjoy daily jaunts along the trail – whether it is a walk to the nearby stream, a bike ride to the local Farmers’ Market or for a stroller ride (with carrots in hand!) to feed the horses. Carolyn is a former competitive mountain biker, and now an avid cyclist, runner and cross-country skier. This is her first children’s book.
